Cons and stuff

With the summer and the con-circuit winding down, I kinda felt sad that I'd missed out on going to any this year. But about an hour ago I discovered that there's going to be a con held in Salt Lake two weeks from now. Anime Banzai will be a 2 day Fri/Sat event, and much smaller than AX (so there's a better chance of doing everything you'd want to).

Anyway... that's the same weekend I might be heading to Idaho. Nothing's set in stone either way, so we'll see. But... would anyone else around here be interested in going? $30 at the door for both days. If there's no interest and everyone I know with cars will be gone that weekend, that makes my decision pretty easy. Still, I think I'd really like to go if I'll be in town and other people want to.

There was apparently some discussion about this con in 2006 on the Quark boards (in fact Kirsa actually went to it last year), but nothing this year. I haven't posted there in months... but maybe I'll go mention it on there later this week and see if there's interest.
