I rode my bike to the new place to sign a contract with the landlord. Write a check, sign my name, get a key, BAM - 10 min tops, right? The Landlord called after 10 min of waiting and said she got stuck in Orem and said she'd be there a little late. After waiting over a half an hour, she then called and said it would be a lot longer than that and that we could sign it tomorrow. So I left, and took the bus back home, because my bike was gone.
BAM.
I'm hoping ground maintenance took it per their "no stuff on the sidewalk rule" that my probably-new-roommates looked up after the fact. They apparently don't believe in office hours on Saturday so I won't find out if they have it until Monday. If they don't then I get to fill out a stolen property form with the Police. It shall be a new and grand adventure.
On the up side, unless something goes terribly horribly wrong, I now have (per verbal agreement at least) a place to move into tomorrow. Most of my friends with cars are out of town, but anyone reading this want to help? I would totally buy snacks or something for anyone willing to do so.
Bleh. I'm gonna go eat some pancakes.
